Our Technology

Problem Statement

Fossil fuels supply 82% of the world’s energy demand and are the main source of greenhouse gas emissions and subsequent climate change. They are highly pollutant, non-renewable and very costly in terms of exploration, extraction & transportation.

The Solution

Our patented eco-friendly New Hydro OES technology adapts conventional hydro-power know-how into marine environment. The technology is deployable over the coastlines without impairing the marine ecology.
Seas, oceans, or lakes are utilized as a natural reservoir for the New Hydro OES to harness their unlimited potential energy. Additional value proposition points of our technology are production of green hydrogen and green ammonia.

Inspired by the natural water cycle, the New Hydro Ocean (NHO) energy system, is designed to deploy in locations where certain geological properties and hydrodynamic forces are available. NHO harnesses the potential energy of natural bodies of water (NBW) -namely sea, ocean, and lake. Technically, it adapts conventional hydro-power know-how to NBW environments. After generating power through the deployment of common know-how, our state-of-the-art discharging mechanism takes part, and the tail-water is effectively discharged by utilizing oceanic hydrodynamics forces.

Simplified Scheme of Technology

Water intake zone – the water which will be used to generate power. This zone will be separated from the rest of the ocean to protect marine life entering the intake area
Water intake gate – the place where the water will enter the system (penstock).
Penstock – a tube which will carry the water to hydro-power turbine
Hydro-power turbine – converting the power brought by water into the electricity
Connection to national grid – produced “blue” energy is transmitted to the national grid
Discharging pipe – a tube which carries water from hydro-power turbine back into the ocean
